Evangelical Minister Preaches Acceptance of Gays

Yesterday I posted about a Colorado minister wanting to rid the world of gays – and today I find an article about a true Christian minister!

The Reverend Steven Chalke is an English Baptist minister – and unlike so many in his church, he supports the rights of gays and lesbians.  Not only that, he is calling on all Christians to do the same.  In an editorial for the magazine “Christianity”, he explains the need for a “new Christian understanding of homosexual relationships.”

Christ-like love calls us to go beyond tolerance to want for the other the same respect, freedom and equality one wants for oneself.

That’s a lot more compelling than “God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and STEVE!!” –
